Right before the world turned upside down I got lucky enough to capture the beautiful elopement of Kat and Jean in NYC. We laughed, exchanged stories, and took advantage of what the West Village has to offer to two love birds and their third wheel 🙂
Looking back, they were probably amongst the last ones to be able to get married; the city clerk closed shortly after that. I’m so glad they were able to make it happen! They are two gentle souls whose love for each other was obvious in all their little gestures and body language. You can tell just by looking at them interact how close and connected they are. As a real French gentleman Jean wouldn’t even let Kat walk behind him under no circumstance.
After the city hall ceremony, we took the subway to head to West 4th street. The West Village is always a great spot for typical NYC elopement photos; I love its little paved streets and authentic shops and restaurants. And how cute was this mini red truck in front of Rosemary’s??
We ended our session at Washington Square Park where Jean initiated an impromptu wedding dance that Kat had no choice but to follow. I mean, who can resist those moves anyways! Claude Francois, is that you? 🙂
