As I’m wrapping up the year, I’m finally taking the time to blog about this epic engagement photoshoot I shot in Paris this year, and share with you some snaps of this awesome day.
Rod and Nikol live in NYC, but knew I was from Paris and were onboard for a little adventure (and a 7-hour flight!) to immortalize their engagement. It was their first time there, and I had no shame playing tourists with them during our session. I never get to do that! As much as I love photographing couples in NYC, it was awesome to have a change of scenery – and shoot in my hometown on top of everything.
The two lovers and I met on a sunny October afternoon; we took a stroll on the Pont des Arts, then headed to the Louvre, the Seine and stopped at all the cute typical French spots and cafes that caught my eye along the way. We ended with a mandatory French crepe by the Eiffel tower carousel at blue hour; our session went so fast, I seriously wish we could have shot for a few more hours.
It was so special to get the chance to shoot there, show them around and see the city through their eyes! I guess despite my sometimes blasé eyes, Paris can still be romantic after all^^
