An attractive couple and a gorgeous Tribeca loft with lots of natural light to play with. How did I become such a lucky maternity photographer? Eva wanted to do her maternity session in her NYC home and I’m so glad she picked me to capture these moments for her.
A Cool Expecting Couple
We started our photoshoot with the baby daddy Matt. It’s always so special to capture a couple’s connection and these two are just adorable; I loved their matching denim look! They looked like models from a Calvin Klein ad.
Eva, Matt and I actually had the chance to shoot together about a year and a half ago. I was obviously pumped when they called me back to take their pregnancy photos.
A Maternity Session With an Intimate Feel
We then decided to take a few shots of Eva by herself, playing with direct light and shadows. Always one of my favorite things to do; and even better when I have such a goddess as a subject. Is this girl straight from a freaking magazine or something? She brought a couple of outfits and looked gorgeous in every single one of them. Even with a long bodysuit covering legs and arms that would look silly on anyone – she rocked that look, too.
Outdoor maternity photos are always fun, but an in home maternity session in NYC is any photographer’s treat. Shooting at home makes everyone feel comfortable right away and allows couples to be more intimate. Bonus points if your place has large windows and lots of natural light coming in!
