A Brooklyn Bridge Engagement at Sunrise

Ardiana and Emir flew from Canada to have their engagement photos taken here in New York City (whaaat??). I was so honored they chose me to capture this special moment of their life! I really wanted to make it special for them and weighted the pros and cons of several location options.

A Sunrise Photoshoot on the Brooklyn Bridge

We ended up opting for the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise; that way, we could have one of NYC’s most iconic locations and its skyline all for ourselves.

It was freaking freezing, but coming from the Great North they weren’t scared of a little wind ruining their epic Brooklyn Bridge engagement shoot. I am very lucky to have clients who are okay to follow my crazy ideas and wake up at 5am when it’s winter and still do not hate me^^

Posing Couples for Natural Looking Photos

The morning light was like nothing I’ve seen before, and despite the cold the two lovers were comfortable in front of the camera right away. To be honest, the session just flowed naturally as if we were friends who knew each other for years. Engagement photoshoots like that are just the best! I had them walk, run, jump, snuggle and basically kept some movement going for natural looking photos.

We had so much fun and headed home when the city started to wake up around us. We crossed the bridge, ended up in Dumbo and warmed ourselves up with a well-deserved cup of coffee. The other advantage of a Brooklyn Bridge sunrise engagement? You get to treat yourself and eat delicious pastries from the bakeries in Dumbo when you’re done 🙂
