A Family Session At The Coney Island Beach

Planning Our Outdoor Family Photoshoot

When Mylene and I planned our family session, we decided to meet at the Coney Island amusement park and take advantage of all the distractions and twinkle lights to create magic for the kids. Carousels, rides, cotton candy – the whole thing.

Unfortunately we had no idea the park was closed between November and Spring :/ I freaked out for 30 seconds when I arrived there, but quickly found a plan B for our afternoon together: we were by the sea after all, so why not take it to the beach?

Taking Candid Family Photos

When the family arrived on the boardwalk, the first thing that popped into my head was ‘Are these kids straight from a fashion advertising?’ I started to play with them and quickly realized that not only did they look like models, but they were all super fun and smart (they’re all trilingual… I’m not even joking). Seriously, are these kids even real??

We ate ice cream, dipped our fingers into the sea, ran around, played in the sand, chased seagulls, and soon forgot the initial plan. Really guys the location doesn’t even matter when you manage to just have fun and be silly with a family. We’ll come back for another family session though, Coney Island!
