An Epic NYC Elopement Photoshoot

Greta and Bryan are two talented photographers from California; so I was super honored when they contacted me to do their elopement photoshoot in NYC. We hit all the spots that mattered to them and ended up shooting for 6 hours, followed by a delicious dinner they invited me to (what can I say, I’m a lucky girl!)

Sunrise Elopement on the Brooklyn Bridge

We started on the Brooklyn bridge at sunrise, an iconic NYC spot that was important to them. Thankfully we didn’t cross too many angry bikers and were blessed with a golden, warm morning light. It didn’t take a lot to create magic with these two love birds.

We crossed the bridge and took some photos in Dumbo by the skyline and the carousel (always love playing with my prism there!) then headed to Central Park. It was mid October, when all the leaves start to turn yellow and orange. What a freaking treat to do an elopement photoshoot in NYC at that time of the year.

A Vintage NYC Taxi Ride

After that, we headed to the West Village where a vintage yellow cab was waiting for us. It wasn’t my first time working with the driver Peter, who always has great stories about the film sets he worked on and the celebrities he drove over the years. If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to spice your NYC engagement or wedding photos, he’s definitely the guy!

After the sun set, I took my flash out and had fun documenting them walking around the village, eating pizza and looking for all the quirky places. We ended up at a fortune teller; but no need for one to see that these two have a bright future in front of them 🙂
