A Funky Brooklyn Wedding at 74Wythe

When Ava and Adam reached out about their wedding at 74Wythe in Brooklyn, I knew it was going to be something special. Their theme? Funky disco. And despite the heavy rain, the day turned out to be pure magic.

Getting Ready & First Look

The couple got ready separately at The William Vale, just around the block from 74Wythe. All of Ava’s bridal details (her invites, her flowers) matched the theme of the day with bright, funky colors. And that ‘NY Pizza’ purse from Michael Kors – as well as her feathery dress from Cult Gaia – were everything!

The rain was coming down hard that day, so we had to move their first look indoors. Luckily, 74Wythe’s club room—once the dancefloor of the iconic Output—was the perfect spot. With disco balls overhead and moody lighting, it fit their Brooklyn wedding vibe perfectly.

A Meaningful Ceremony at 74Wythe

Ava’s father passed away during 9/11, making the NYC skyline an important part of their wedding day. But for most of the day, heavy rain and clouds blocked the view. Then, just five minutes before the ceremony, the skies cleared. The rain stopped. The skyline appeared. It was such a surreal, special moment. Ava saw it and immediately teared up. It felt like a sign, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Their wedding ceremony at 74Wythe was a beautiful mix of cultures—Pakistani, Persian, and Cuban traditions blended together. Yellow Bow Florals created a stunning background with hanging flowers that framed the city skyline behind them. It was obvious all the guests were blown away by the scene.

A Colorful Brooklyn Wedding Reception

The reception at 74Wythe was just as incredible. Yellow Bow Florals and Marian Frances Events, the incredible planner of the event, decorated the tables with bold, bright colors that matched the disco theme. The mix of flowers, disco balls, and personalized friendship bracelets Ava had made for every guest made the setting super vibrant and unique.

The rest of the night was a blur of dancing, laughter, and celebration. Ava and Adam’s Brooklyn wedding at 74Wythe was the perfect mix of funky, stylish, and meaningful. Rain or shine, their love lit up the day, and the night.
