Sara and Vim celebrated their LGBTQ Brooklyn wedding amidst the charm of historic brownstones and the vibrant energy of the city. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing every moment of this special day in the heart of Brooklyn Heights.
Two Brides are Better Than One
Sara and Vim, a power couple, radiated elegance from the moment I arrived at their gorgeous home. They’re both accomplished professionals (Sara, a passionate lawyer, and Vim, a dedicated doctor); and the epitome of love and success in NYC.
It’s funny because the contrast in their attire mirrored their individuality. Sara rocked a sleek black wedding dress with a striking black diamond ring; while Vim stunned in a classic white gown with a sparkling white diamond ring. While Vim struck me as the social butterfly right away, I could tell Sara was the more reserved one. And their Yin/Yan energies complimented themselves perfectly.
Wedding Photos in Brooklyn Heights
Before the ceremony, Sara and Vim chose to get ready together at their home. A quiet, intimate moment before meeting all their guests.
For their couple photos, we ventured out into the picturesque neighborhood, with its iconic brownstones. The streets of Brooklyn Heights always provide such a timeless, stunning backdrop for wedding photos.
Wedding Reception at Bacchus Restaurant
The couple’s vision for their wedding was simple; a low-key celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family. Bacchus provided the perfect setting for their intimate gathering. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as guests indulged in the delicious French food, raised toasts, and shared stories about the couple. The ambiance was relaxed and casual, reflecting the essence of Sara and Vim’s love; genuine, unpretentious, and inclusive.
Sara and Vim are both into electronic music so once the sun set, the room quickly turned into a crazy dance floor. Everybody let loose and had fun. And as the wife of a DJ I do love a party for sure 🙂
Capturing Sara and Vim’s LGBTQ wedding in Brooklyn was such a joy. I liked the casual and intimate vibe of their day, and truly enjoyed getting to know them. As their Brooklyn wedding photographer, I am grateful to be a part of their journey!
