When Lily and Alex reached out about their NYC wedding at The William Vale Hotel, I knew it was going to be a special one. A rooftop ceremony with the New York City skyline as the backdrop? Count me in.
Getting Ready & First Look
Getting ready at the hotel, they were just a few doors apart which kept the anticipation high. Their first look on the private terrace was intimate and emotional. The moment Lily stepped outside, you could see the pure love and excitement on their faces. These are moments I live for.
Exploring Williamsburg for Bride & Groom Photos
For their bride and groom portraits, we hit the streets of Williamsburg. Wythe Avenue, with its industrial vibes, gave us the perfect mix of urban and romantic. We shot in front of the old Output club (now Superior Ingredients), a little nod to Brooklyn’s ever-changing scene. Lily and Alex embraced the city energy, and were just effortlessly cool strolling the streets. The afternoon light was warm and ethereal, beaming behind Lily and Alex.
A Rooftop Ceremony with a Skyline View
Then came the ceremony. The rooftop at The William Vale is already breathtaking, but Lauren from Yellow Bow Florals took it to another level. A low floral installation framed the couple perfectly, adding just the right touch of sophistication. I could tell all the guests were blown away by the scene.
A Party to Remember
After saying “I do,” it was time to celebrate. Cocktail hour was full of laughter, hugs, and clinking glasses. Then, the dance floor came alive. These two (with the help of planner extraordinaire Marian from Marian Frances Events) know how to throw a party, and their guests kept the energy high all night. A brass band even kicked off the celebrations!
And let’s talk about the sweetest detail—literally. A candy cart from Le Bonbon had everyone feeling like kids again, grabbing their favorite treats and indulging in a little nostalgia.
Lily and Alex’s big day at the William Vale Hotel was everything a NYC wedding should be: stylish, fun, and full of energy and love. From the rooftop ceremony to the crazy dance floor, and the city streets basking in light in between, every moment felt straight out of a dream. I’m truly grateful they picked me to be their NYC wedding photographer!
