Nothing makes me happier than being referred by previous clients. Alexis booked me for her Fall engagement session in West Point through her friend Kayla, whose engagement I shot last summer. I also shot a very special wedding there last year with another couple. I love that site so I was happy to go back, especially during the Fall. West Point has the most beautiful views in the Hudson Valley. And when Fall starts, all the leaves turn vibrant shades of oranges, reds and yellows; not gonna lie, it’s pretty wonderful for us photographers.
Initially, Alexis contacted me to shoot her engagement with Josh. But the more we talked, the more she opened up. She started telling me about their 6 month-old baby, and getting excited about doing baby photos as well. In the end, we decided to incorporate their cute son and do part couple photos and part family photos; a Fall engagement & family session in West Point.
Looking at how Alexis and Josh interacted with each other, it was easy to see how much love they have for one another. And their baby Georges was super easy to shoot; he was constantly smiling and laughing out loud. We had many funny moments, including when he would pull on his mom’s hair. Her reaction would make Georges laugh a lot, as you can tell by the last picture 🙂
I will always be grateful for my mentor, Eliza Jane, for introducing me to West Point. She was my wedding photographer and took me under her wings when I started photography full time, and introduced me to all these wonderful military families.
