A Fall Engagement Session in the Hudson Valley

Nothing makes me happier than being referred by previous clients. Alexis booked me for her Fall engagement session in the Hudson Valley through her friend Kayla, whose engagement I shot last summer in West Point.

Taking Engagement Photos Upstate New York in the Fall

I love that area so I was happy to go back, especially in the Fall. West Point actually has the most beautiful views in the Hudson Valley. And when Fall starts, all the leaves turn vibrant shades of oranges, reds and yellows; not gonna lie, it’s pretty wonderful for photographers.

Part Engagement Session, Part Family Session

Initially, Alexis contacted me to shoot her engagement with Josh. But when we talked on the phone, she started telling me about their 6 month-old baby, and getting excited about doing baby photos as well. In the end, we decided to incorporate their son and do part Fall engagement session in the Hudson Valley, part family photos.

Looking at how Alexis and Josh interacted with each other, it was easy to see how much love they have for one another. And their baby Georges was a pleasure to shoot; he was constantly smiling and laughing. We had many funny moments, including when he would pull on his mom’s hair. Her reaction would make Georges crack up (as you can see in the last picture^^)

I will always be grateful for my mentor, Eliza Jane, for introducing me to West Point. She was my wedding photographer and took me under her wings when I started photography full time, and introduced me to all these wonderful military families.
