The Perfect NYC Wedding Venue
With its romantic and industrial chic charm, Vicky and Ehsan’s Fall wedding at the Foundry in NYC was nothing short of epic. After their wedding ceremony at a historical Greek Orthodox church in Queens, we headed to the Foundry before their guests arrived. The place, full of vibrant Autumn colors, provided the perfect backdrop for their bride and groom portraits. For me, it really is the perfect venue when NYC is in peak foliage.
The inside of the venue was equally stunning. Yellow Bow Florals did an amazing job at decorating the reception space, with Fall colored floral creations and candles everywhere. Elegant, but also cozy at the same time.
A Very Fun Wedding Reception
Vicky’s Greek heritage gave the reception an extra dose of fun. That was a PARTY if I ever saw one! Everyone went crazy on the dance floor right when the reception started. During the first dance, Vicky’s father showered her daughter with dollar bills; a gesture symbolizing prosperity and happiness. At the end of the night, there was probably hundreds of dollars on the floor 🙂
But because Ehsan is Jewish, the couple also had the traditional hora dance on the chairs; lifted into the air by all the guests. A moment equally high in energy!
As a Brooklyn wedding photographer, my goal was to capture not just the moments, but the emotions of Vicky and Ehsan’s special day; and to tell their story. Their Fall wedding at the Foundry was a celebration of love, culture, and the beauty of the season. From the stunning foliage to the Greek-inspired festivities, every detail was gorgeous and unique. It was an honor to be a part of it and to witness the joy that surrounded them. As the leaves began to fall and the crisp autumn air enveloped the city, Vicky and Ehsan embarked on a new chapter of their journey together; and I’m glad I was able to capture it.
