A Paris Engagement Photoshoot

As a French wedding photographer based in Brooklyn, it was super special for me to photograph Alyssa and Jordan in my hometown. I had previously captured their love in New York City during one of their many travels; so when they asked me to work together again in France, I was just ecstatic. It was a beautiful summer night, and the atmosphere was simply perfect for their Paris engagement photoshoot.

We started at the Pont des Arts, the famous bridge where people used to leave love locks. Alyssa and Jordan shared a romantic kiss as the sun was setting behind them. The view of the Seine River in the distance made for a stunning backdrop. On our way out, we found one of those old subway signs that was straight from the movie Amelie. It was golden hour, which made for beautiful shots where I could play with light (my favorite).

Next, we headed to the Louvre Museum, one of the most iconic landmarks in Paris. Alyssa and Jordan looked stunning as they posed in front of the historical building, which was surprisingly not too crowded; a very rare sighting!

The last stop on our shoot was the Colonnes de Buren, an art installation I love in the Palais Royal. The black and white striped columns are tucked away and not too touristy. They make a striking background that’s very cool and very unique.

As a wedding photographer from Paris, capturing the beauty of the city never gets old. Alyssa and Jordan were a joy to work with, and their love for each other was evident in every shot. I’m so grateful to have been able to capture their Paris engagement photoshoot in one of the most romantic cities in the world 🙂
