An Unconventional Brooklyn Wedding

Anne Lise and Ben’s big day was one unconventional Brooklyn wedding if I know one. Both goofy, their day was super laid back and their bridal party was just hilarious and fun to be around.

They also picked the most perfect day to get married. It was the first weekend of November; all New York was cheering from having a new President. You could feel that upbeat, positive energy in the air. Plus, they were lucky to have a 80-degree weather. Unreal!

A Badass Bride and Crew

Anne Lise got ready at her apartment in Chelsea. We took her bridesmaids photos in the neighborhood for a real city vibe; including one epic picture with the Empire State building in the background.

Everyone in the streets was wondering who this badass bride and bridesmaids were! After that we got the party started and took a limo to Brooklyn, where the ceremony was taking place.

Planning a Small Intimate Wedding in Brooklyn

Navigating wedding planning in Covid times is no easy task, so Anne Lise and Ben had decided to do a low key ceremony in a Brooklyn park with their closest friends. Ben’s last name is Cooper so they thought it would be funny to get married at Cooper Park in Greenpoint (right there it tells you a lot about who they are!). There were many, many laughs during this unconventional Brooklyn wedding ceremony. Humor is definitely these two’s love language.

After the ceremony we took advantage of the last rays of sun and took some pretty hilarious bridal party photos (hmm hello matching leopard boxers) before heading to Ben’s apartment for the reception. The backyard looked super cute with flowers and string lights everywhere. Everyone celebrated them with roasts, hugs and a healthy dose of sarcasm and partied the rest of the night away. It felt so good to celebrate them and live normally and freely for a few hours!
